The role
Caplia is private intelligence for the early-stage ecosystem. Accelerators, funds, angels, early-stage banks, startup awards and founders use the Caplia platform, and Phronel, the private AI agent behind it, to manage company discovery, evaluation and support.
As an AI Engineer in Caplia Labs, you'll turn Phronel's intelligence into product. You'll build agentic workflows, retrieval and evaluation, and ship AI features into the platform and the tools our customers already use over MCP and API.
What you'll do
Build agentic workflows and retrieval on top of Phronel
Ship AI features into the platform, Slack, Teams, Chrome and our MCP server
Design evaluation that keeps answers consistent and evidence-backed
Keep customer data private, never used for training
Who you are
Engineer with hands-on experience shipping LLM-based products
Strong in Python and/or TypeScript, retrieval and evaluation
Cares about reliability, privacy and measurable quality
Comfortable with ownership in an early team
