Backend Engineer
Own the backbone of the Caplia platform: APIs, MCP and CRM connectivity, data pipelines and the infrastructure that lets Caplia scale securely.
The role
Caplia is private intelligence for the early-stage ecosystem. Accelerators, funds, angels, early-stage banks, startup awards and founders use the Caplia platform, and Phronel, the private AI agent behind it, to manage company discovery, evaluation and support.
As a Backend Engineer, you'll own the platform's backbone: our APIs, MCP and CRM connectivity, data pipelines and the infrastructure that lets Caplia scale securely across thousands of companies.
What you'll do
Design and build the APIs behind the platform and our integrations
Build connectivity into CRMs, data rooms and customers' own tools over REST and MCP
Own data pipelines, performance and reliability as we scale
Keep security and privacy built in at every layer
Who you are
Experienced backend engineer who has run production systems
Strong in API design, databases and cloud infrastructure
Thinks about security, reliability and scale from day one
Comfortable with ownership in an early team
