Research and develop the models behind readiness scoring and traction signals, calibrated against real capital outcomes.
The role
Caplia is private intelligence for the early-stage ecosystem. Accelerators, funds, angels, early-stage banks, startup awards and founders use the Caplia platform, and Phronel, the private AI agent behind it, to manage company discovery, evaluation and support.
As an ML / Research Engineer in Caplia Labs, you'll research and develop the models behind the Caplia Readiness Index (CRI) and our traction signals. You'll design experiments, improve calibration against real capital outcomes and turn research into production models.
What you'll do
Research and improve readiness scoring and traction signal models
Design experiments and evaluation against real capital outcomes
Turn research into production models alongside the ML team
Work with our research collaborators, including Oxford Saïd Business School
Who you are
ML researcher or engineer with a strong applied track record
Strong in statistics, experimentation and model evaluation
Able to move from research to production code
Interested in how capital finds the strongest companies
